Theme: Dinosaur


Long Long ago, so long ago, there lived Dinosaurs on Earth. Dinosaurs so tall.
Yoga pose: Tall Mountain
Instruction: Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Root your feet into the earth. Back straight. Strong feet. Strong back. Inhale raise your arms out towards the sky. Exhale bring your hands down.







Dinosaurs so Small.
Yoga pose: Dark Seed light
Instruction: Begin on your hands and knees. Exhale, touch your big toes together and spread your knees apart. Reach your arms out in front of your as your bring hips back to meet your heels. Allow your forehead to rest on the earth. Open your knees wider.


                 






Some ate animals and they were called Carnivore.
Yoga Pose: Downward dog for animals
Instruction: Begin with table pose. Curl your toes under and lift your tail into Downward Facing Dog. Spread your fingers evenly and claw the floor. You can wag your tail or paddle your feet. “Woof Woof!”. Make sounds if you like.


                                           




Some ate leaves on trees and they were called Herbivore.
Yoga Pose: Tree Friends
Instruction: Stand tall. Bring your hands together in front of your heart.  Root left foot into the earth. Bend your right leg and place the sole of that foot on the inside of your left leg anywhere other than your knee. Switch sides.


                                          




Do you know how they communicate with each other? They “ROAR”.
Yoga Pose: Pride Plank
Instruction: Feel majestic like the king of the jungle. Begin with hands and knees. Lift your knees slightly above the ground. Stick y our tongue out and “Roar”. If this is challenging, try sitting on your heels and stick your tongue out and make a roar sound.



                                       





When they feel angry, they stomp their feet and walk around.
Yoga Pose: Go to your room
Instruction: From mountain pose, exhale and forward fold from your hips and focus on your breath. Think about the time when you have felt disconnected or mad. Grab your ankles. Courageously stomp back and forth on the ground as loudly as you can.. Keeping knees bent, lift up and draw your hands back toward your shoulders. Use both hands to slam an imaginary door shut as you exhale a groan the whole house can hear. Fold forward and honor the quiet time.


                                         





And there came a meteor and hit the earth. The dinosaurs trembled.
Yoga Pose: Calm down
Instruction: Lie on your back. Bend your knees. Tap your hands and feet on the ground.



                                   





And that was the end of all the Dinosaurs. We all have our angry dinosaurs roaring inside us. We need to put those angry dinosaurs to become extinct by relaxing and staying calm.
Yoga Pose: Savasana
Instruction: Lie on your back and relax.
